Welcome To The Connecticut Audio Society!

The Connecticut Audio Society (CAS) was established in 1983 as a private forum where individuals could meet to exchange information and ideas pertaining to the hobby of high-end audio. Membership is open to all individuals who have an interest in this fun hobby. Meetings are held year round on a bi-monthly basis. Locations include retail establishments, manufacturing plants, recording studios and members' homes. Most meetings are located south of Hartford and west of Mystic, Connecticut. During the COVID-19 pandemic, CAS has held virtual meetings via Zoom. If you are interested in joining a meeting, please fill out a contact form and our club secretary will arrange to have you join a meeting.

Often Club Meetings have notable guests who present topics of audio interest. These topics cover a wide range from equipment demonstrations to technical subjects like room acoustics. The club membership shares an interest in the history of the audio industry and it is not uncommon for venerable audio legends to present at meetings.

The group supports a private area where members exchange information about the audio industry, DIY electronics, speaker design, live and recorded music and many topics of general interest to audiophiles. One of the great merits of Club membership is meeting others with a true depth of knowledge in many aspects of music reproduction. CAS welcomes new members and, if interested, please complete the contact form below and our club secretary will provide more information on how to join. Also, visit our Frequently Asked Questions page to find a wealth of information about the club.
